Halloween Spooktacular Short Story Blogfest
Hey, put down the tequila and take a break from your marathon NaNoWriMo planning session. Here’s something fun to do, and not to worry – you will be done by the time the clock strikes twelve on November 1st.
A fellow blogger, Melissa, who writes The Undeveloped Story, has announced her annual Halloween, pre-Nano, short story blog fest. Here’s the short version: find a spooky picture and write a short story about it.
Simple!
No word count restrictions, just make sure you give credit where it is due regarding the graphic you have chosen. Then ping back to her blog and you are all set.
What do you win?
No cash, no trophy, no ticker tape parade on Madison Avenue, but you will have your work read by a whole new group of people. And isn’t that what it’s all about?
Sure it is. So take a break and whip out a short story. I just completed mine. If this two finger typist can do it, so can you!
Get going! You can post on Monday, October 31st.
Then resume the tequila, for NaNoWriMo will be just a few sort hours away…
